Jacqueline Downey Roy

Mrs. Roy was a loving wife, devoted mother, and especially fond of her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Earl Downey; mother, Ida Roeder; and husband, of 61 years, Carl Roy.

Mrs. Roy's family celebrates her life and acknowledges that she was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Deniece Hand (Eddie); two sons, Bill Roy (Mona) and Doug Roy (Kathy); grandchildren, Alan Bullock, Lee Bullock, Katie Jinright, Brian Roy, Craig Roy, Jacque Causey, and Kyle Roy; 13 great-grandchildren; and Brenda Collins, her caregiver and cherished friend of the family.

The family will greet friends at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 10-11 a.m., immediately followed by A Service of Remembrance for Mrs. Roy at 11 a.m. at the funeral home's chapel. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. Rev. Bubba Eubanks will officiate.
