Jack A McGuire

Jack A. McGuire, of Alabaster, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014. Mr. McGuire is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty McGuire; sons, Jack McGuire, Jr. (Carolyn) and Gary Scott McGuire; sister, Barbara Foster (John); grandchildren, Kara Rousseau (Patrick), Kaci Moore (Travis), Austin McGuire (Kayla) and Adam McGuire; five great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, AJ and Frances McGuire; and a brother, James Robert “Bud” McGuire.

Mr. McGuire’s celebration of life will be at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in honor of Mr. McGuire be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

“Gone, but never forgotten.”

UPDATE: Due to the weather, the services and visitation for Mr. McGuire will be on Thursday, January 30, 2014. Visitation will be from 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm, with the chapel service beginning at 3:30 pm.
