Henry Lewis Coshatt of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on June 26, 2015. He was born in Acmar, Alabama on January 1, 1933. He was 82 years old. He is survived by his wife Patricia Honeycutt Coshatt. They were married on May 23, 1953 and remained happily married for 62 years. They are members of Mountain Brook Baptist Church.
He graduated from St. Clair County High School in 1951 and attended classes at the University of Alabama. He began his career as an employee of McKesson and Robbins Pharmaceuticals and later opened his own very successful business, H. L. Coshatt Co., Inc. After several decades of being the CEO of his company, he sold the business and founded Design Consultants which kept him involved in the operations of his original company until his death. He was very proud of his business success and was known for his fairness and graciousness to all of his employees.
Henry Coshatt was an avid sports fan, especially of Alabama football, and a dedicated golfer. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award from The Single Digits Golf Club at Greystone Golf and Country Club in 2013 where he spent much of his recreational time.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Agnes Coshatt, and his father, George Elgin Coshatt, and his grandson, Daniel Lamar Willingham. He is survived by his three children, Cynthia Coshatt Willingham, Brian Keith Coshatt and his wife Veronika Coshatt, and Pamela Coshatt Wright and her husband Dr. John Wright. He has five surviving grandchildren, Mary Alana Willingham, John W. Wright III, Lindsey Ann Wright, Mirabella Ilyana Coshatt and Seraphina Elsa Coshatt. His surviving brother-in-law is Maurice E. Honeycutt.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Mountain Brook Baptist Church at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the service in the church parlor.
