I worked with Ed for several years. I just learned about his passing. Prayers for his family.  I looked him up online after learning that my pastor went to school with Ed.  I always looked up to Ed as a mentor. A true gentleman .  You are missed Ed.

Just found out about Ed's passing while getting a haircut. I worked with Ed at Unisource. Just saw Ed early February at Sports Clips. My heart goes out too the family!

Ed loved his football "Roll Tide", and family.  Ed was a southern gentleman and just a great guy period! Ed, will be missed but his wonderful spirit will remain with all those who were blessed to know him!

To Elizabeth and Ed's family, I was crushed to find out about Ed. We were fraternity brothers back at UNA, and I have a lot of great memories hanging out with Ed, as well as some of the trouble we got into together.  We haven't stayed in touch as closely as we would have liked, but I did get to hang out with Ed about 3 years ago at the annual fraternity dinner get together in Florence. It was just like old times with Ed, same easy going lovable guy I knew when we were back at UNA. I love that guy, and always enjoyed being around him.  People like Ed are an example of who I would like to be, and I think he had that influence on all that knew him.  I know my life is better for knowing Ed.

We recently moved next door to Elizabeth and Ed and were so excited to have wonderful neighbors close to our age. Our hearts are broken for Elizabeth and all of their family.  We had looked forward to getting to know them and being great friends.
We have heard wonderful things about Ed and Elizabeth and we know we lost a wonderful man that it would have been a great honor to call a friend, We do not always understand why things happen as they do but we know that this earth is not our home and that one day we will get to walk across heaven together with our loved ones that have gone before us.  This will last an eternity and we will no longer have to suffer tears, pain or loss. I pray that God will hold Elizabeth and the family in His arms and calm their tears and broken hearts and bring them comfort in knowing Ed is happy and free from pain and sorrow in his heavenly home,  May God Bless and comfort all with His peace and love.

I went to high school with Eddie. Always a super nice guy. I never heard anyone say a negative  word about him. A very sharing and giving person. We had lots of fun fishing and skiing on Wilson Lake. We live on that lake today because of the love I gained spending time with Eddie and Rusty Alexander on the lake. I am so very sorry for Your loss. Looking at Facebook it would appear Eddie was loved by all.!!! Not surprising at all to me.

Elizabeth, I didn’t know about Ed until this morning…I saw it on Facebook.

Even though we lost touch after college, except for a few visits years ago, it really moved me when I read about Ed’s death. What an amazing guy! I will be praying for you all.

Sending our deepest condolences and prayers to you all! I met Eddie through my then fiancé Jimmy Wann ! They were childhood friends through adults! I met an awesome guy in Ed 1976. He was truly a kind gentle soul. He came To Jimmy Wann service Dec 23 2016. They now unite. He met Elizabeth and she is the love of his life. His Parents Guy and Margie were absolutely the best. We grew up in the Village across from Guy Margie and Eddie…always got prescriptions @ Guy’s pharmacy such great neighbors…..my youngest brother Kelly became great friends with Eddie and their friendship continued until Eddie went home to be with Jesus I know he will be deeply missed praying for God’s strength peace and comfort for you all until we all see him again

Always wanted a brother growing up as a kid.  When I joined Phi Gamma Delta I chose Ed as my big brother, and could not have made a better choice. He was a wonderful influence and a positive impact to a young pledge trying to find his way!  God bless Ed, Elizabeth, and their family.

Ed was a pledge-brother of mine In Phi Gamma Delta - Fall of ‘77 at UNA.   He was fun-loving as a student and a brother.  He was also loyal, honest, hard-working, dedicated, and respected what each member brought to the group.     Even at that tender age,  Ed always exhibited  class, and represented the fraternity with dignity.   He and Elizabeth were fixtures at the fraternity house and were a great early example of what a loving relationship should look like.  I’m a better man for knowing him, and I am proud to call him my brother.  My heartfelt condolences to Elizabeth, his family, and his close friends.
