Eddie most recently worked at Hendricks Chevrolet. He had a penchant for adventure that showed in everything he did. Eddie enjoyed hang gliding, ultralight aircraft, model planes, and model car racing. He had an unwavering love of family, his children, and his grandchildren, who knew him as "PePop."
He was fortunate enough to be married to his best friend and one true love, Amelia K. Plott. They were married for over 28 years, but their love and friendship went back many years before.
Preceding Eddie in death are his father, Edward Plott, Jr.; and son, Matthew C. Vines.
Left to cherish his memory is his adoring wife, Amelia K. Plott; children, Jolee Owens, Amanda Newman, and Michael Vines; grandchildren, Taylor Owens, Peyton Owens, Aliyah Vines, Gracie Vines, and Colin Newman; special grand godson, Gaige Crumpton; his mother, Betty Lou Sundberg Plott; sister, Karen Plott Tucker; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Monday, November 30, 2020, from 10:00 – 11:00 am. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 am at Southern Heritage Cemetery. Officiating will be Vince Melvin. Pallbearers are Charles Tucker, Justin Tucker, Dennis Sammons, Phillip Lagrone, Jerry Evans, and Peyton Criss.
