Doris R Robbins

Doris Reeves Robbins, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 20, 2025 at the age of 90. Born January 12, 1935 in Charlotte, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James and Antoinette Reeves. Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Richard Robbins (Dick), her brothers Jim and Ken Reeves, and her sisters Joyce Braswell and Betty Stallings.

Surviving members of her family include her 4 children: Kim Josephson, Rick Robbins, Rusty Robbins, and Randy Robbins; her seven grandchildren Parker Robbins, Pete Smith, Mitchell Robbins, Russ Robbins, Erin Oostenburg, Catherine Robbins, and Tanner Robbins; and two great-grandchildren Parker and Kingston Smith.

Doris was a stay at home mom until her youngest started school. She then went back to school to earn a degree in education at UAB. She got a job at a local school, Pittman Junior High, and extended her education by getting a Masters in math. She taught seventh grade math there for 20 years. Doris and her husband Dick were members of the Church of Christ.

Services will be at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL on Friday, March 28, 2025. Visitation is at 11 am and a graveside service at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations in Doris’s name to the Alzheimer's Association are appreciated.
