She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Loring Muir, her two daughters, Amanda and Abby Muir, her sister, Brenda Gober, and her mother, Charlotte Cobb. She is predeceased by her father, Joe Cobb, and her sister, Donna Morris.
Debbie grew up in Midfield and attended the University of Montevallo. She moved to Birmingham with Loring, and worked for Alabama Power before raising her two daughters, whom she loved and cared for deeply.
She was a Godly woman whose positivity and faith were contagious. She was always encouraging and put all others before herself. She was a true example of the Proverbs 31 woman.
Adoption was important to Debbie and close to her heart. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Lifeline Children Services, where she and Loring adopted Abby and Amanda, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
There will be a celebration of life service at Briarwood Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, December 16, at 12:00 PM.
