David was a graduate of B.B. Comer Memorial School. His first career was with Morrison's Cafeteria, which gave him the opportunity to grow in management and leadership before becoming an entrepreneur and business owner in 1984 at SERVPRO® of Birmingham, AL.
David was founder and administrator at the Church at Chelsea-Westover.
David's parents, Junior Lee and Virlie Jeanette Wilson, and one brother, Phillip Wilson, preceded him in death. Survivors include David's wife, Christie H. Wilson; sons, Benji Wilson (Sarah) and Brady Wilson (Melissa); grandchildren, Tyler Wilson, Samantha Myers, Libby Wilson, Mahlon Myers, and Makenzie Wilson; sisters, Tereasa Jackson (George) and Denise Rigby (Gary); and brother, Terry Wilson (Ran).
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, followed by a Celebration of David's Life at 10 a.m. at the church. Dr. Danny Lovett will officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Cemetery, Birmingham.
