Mr. Jeffries served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, and then worked for The City of Birmingham until retirement. He graduated from Athens State University.
Survivors include Mr. Jeffries' wife, Marjorie Johnson Jeffries, and his brother, Paul Jeffries.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2018, Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham, AL, followed by memorial service at 2 p.m., Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may go to Cahaba Heights United Methodist Church or the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
