David Russell Jeffries, 83, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in Birmingham, AL. Was born December 24, 1934 in Dillsboro, Indiana to Rossi Russell Jeffries and Stella Stewart Jeffries.

Mr. Jeffries served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, and then worked for The City of Birmingham until retirement. He graduated from Athens State University.

Survivors include Mr. Jeffries' wife, Marjorie Johnson Jeffries, and his brother, Paul Jeffries.

Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2018, Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham, AL, followed by memorial service at 2 p.m., Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may go to Cahaba Heights United Methodist Church or the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
