Claudean Davis

Claudean is the youngest child of Pearlie Abston, and she is preceded in death by her brothers Elmer Abston, Howell Abston, John Abston, and sister, Mearline.

Claudean was the widow of Vernon Davis, of Calera, Alabama, and was previously wed to J.D. Patterson, of Gadsden. Claudean is also mother to stepson Michael Davis, and the grandmother to Victoria, Corey, Elyse, Vaughn, and Kristen. Claudean was also the foster sister to Janey Wolf, deceased. Claudean was foster daughter of adoptive parents William and Martha Quarles of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Claudean studied interior design at The University of Alabama and was often the recipient of community beatification awards for the artistry of her gardening and landscaping design in Calera, Alabama where she lived for many years. Claudean spent her life making her surroundings more beautiful both by her striking appearance and her talents as a prodigious gardener, and the classically inspired interiors of her home.

A graveside service will be held at Southern Heritage Cemetery on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 11:00 am.
