Christy Melinda Ray passed away February 15, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Nina Ray; brother, Brandon Ray. She is survived by her grandmother, Mary Parrott; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Christy graduated from Fultondale High School. She has touched more lives than she realized with her compassion and kindness. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff that went above and beyond at Shelby Ridge Nursing Home where she was a resident. There will be a visitation held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Thursday the 18th from 1pm to 2pm with a graveside following the visitation at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
