Christopher Dale Glenn

Christopher Dale Glenn, 52, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on November 3rd after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. At his death, he was surrounded by family and friends and went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Chris was born on April 30, 1970. He graduated from Shades Valley High School in 1988. He joined the family business, Glenn Contracting & Paving Co., Inc. and continued to work there until he passed. Chris took great pride in his asphalt work, was passionate about pleasing his customers and had an impeccable reputation in this field.

In 1997, Chris married his wife, Toni. They were blessed with twin boys, Charlie and Frankie. Chris was a gentle giant with a servant’s heart who loved everyone unconditionally. In his free time, Chris enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Chris loved the Lord and was an incredible husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Chris was called home to heaven earlier than we wanted him to be. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Leon Ernest Glenn, Jr. and brother, Wesley Glenn. He is survived by his wife, Toni; children, Charlie and Frankie; his mother, Louise Glenn; his sisters, Catherine Denard (Gary) and Kim Fieldbinder (Mick); his brother, Bo Glenn (Erica); and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service is Monday, November 7th at 12 pm with visitation starting at 10 am at Southern Heritage Funeral Home & Cemetery, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, Alabama 35124. A memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital (stjude.org).
