Carol Ann was born July 13, 1945 in Lynn, Massachusetts. She graduated with honors from Bryant Stratton School (Boston) in 1965 with a degree in Accounting. She was named the outstanding graduate in the Accounting School.
Carol Ann married Robert "Bob" Melton on February 14, 1975. She was a loving, supportive, and faithful wife. Through their marriage, they lived in many states, settling in Birmingham in 1991.
She loved doing many hobbies including scuba diving, sewing, arts and crafts, jigsaw puzzles, traveling, baking, and cooking. She loved Evangel Presbyterian Church, her pastors, and all of her friends she made over the years. She will be remembered for always encouraging others and always giving compliments to brighten someone's day.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Bob Melton; her sons Eric (Kim) White, Jonathan Melton, Todd (Lori) Melton, and daughter Leigh Anne (Nelson) Bowling; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sister Sonja and her brother Carl.
