Mr. Bryan R. Baker, age 82, of Shelby County passed away peacefully at home on December 3, 2019. He was born on June 15, 1937 in Grays, Essex England to Reginald and Dorothy Baker. Bryan immigrated to the United States July 7th, 1977 and became a U.S. citizen on November 5th, 1993. Bryan was a 25 plus year member of the American Foundry Society and was employed with Vulcan Engineering for many years before retiring in September 30, 2012. He enjoyed soccer, golf, football, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Bryan is preceded in death by his parents Reginald and Dorothy Baker. He is survived by his loving wife Donna Montgomery Baker; children, Renee Baker Alexander (Aaron), Donnie Hoffman (Leslie); seven very loved grandchildren, and a very dear friend J.D. Dewitt.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.
