A lifelong resident of the Birmingham area, Bruce was born September 5, 1948 at South Highlands Infirmary.
He was a graduate of Shades Valley High School, Samford University, and Cumberland Law School. Bruce was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from March 1, 1971 to July 6, 1973.
A lifelong member of the Methodist Church, he grew up attending Oakmont United Methodist in West Homewood, the church his parents helped to found. He later joined the Church at Cahaba Bend in Helena.
Bruce was an attorney and served as municipal court judge and city prosecutor for most of his career. He cared deeply about his family which included his dogs, many of which were rescued. He was an avid gardener and loved to read.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 26 years Pamela Fuller Green, his daughters Amanda [Chris] DeGreen and Katherine [Will Dahlberg] Green, his sister Rebecca Bingham of Charlotte, North Carolina, and his beloved granddaughter, Marley Green. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Virginia Green.
The family would like to acknowledge their appreciation for the quality care provided to Bruce by Dr. Benjamin S. Jones and staff with Alabama Oncology.
A private graveside service will be held Friday, October 1, 2021.
