This sweet boy touched so many lives. Cooper adored him and their friendship. They would sit on the playground and talk about their feelings, how Braxy felt and just life. Braxy even shared a song with him that he had written about how he felt about everything….. I wish we knew the words. Of course there was laughter too!!! I remember the day Cooper came bouncing in the car telling me about the BFF necklaces Braxy made for he and Braxton W.  on his 3D printer. He wears it every single day along with his Team Braxy dog tag he asked for at Christmas. ( His only personal ask. ) There are some people that just enter your life who leave a lasting impression and he was one of them for my son. His biggest honor was being able to sing a song especially for him… a gift from his heart. He was so honored you asked him to sing it once again as a tribute at his memorial. Something special they shared to honor his sweet friend. Braxy will always hold a special place in his heart . 

I remember the emotional college game day and his conversation with Coach Saban asking if he was going to “run Najee.”  Najee responded with 5 TDs.   RTR in heaven Braxton!  You’re an inspiration to us all! ❤️

Braxton,what an amazing young man. I know you only through Facebook, but you have made an unbelievable impact on my life. I will never see a Braves' game, watch Alabama football or hear a joke without thinking of you. Bless your family and friends. And as always, ROLL TIDE.

I learned of Braxton and his story on one of my Braves Facebook pages.  I immediately felt a connection to him as my "little Braves buddy" and had fun sharing Braves World Series champs "treasures" with him.  You have been such an inspiration to so many people, Braxton, myself included, and your light and legacy will live on.  Whenever the sun is shining, you will be there.  Sending much love and saying may prayers for the Weidman family.

I’ve never taught three kids who had such a special bond. These two and their buddy, Braxy. When Braxton was too tired or too hot to play at recess these two would often sit with him. And if they didn’t sit, they didn’t go far without coming back to check in. True friends. 
Braxy boy, I haven’t filled your place but as you run and play in the streets of gold, I’ll watch after these two and I promise to join them in keeping your name alive in D-08!
Weidmans- I’ve grown close to many families of students, but this was a first. And through YOUR valley, you encouraged me. What a blessed teacher I am! 

The services yesterday for your precious son were so poignant and meaningful. We know his parents and grandparents, but never had the opportunity to know Braxton.  It seems we missed out on a huge blessing!  What a special impact he had on numerous lives! And what a brave little boy he was throughout his courageous fight.  The void he leaves will be tremendous, but we know he is free of pain and resting in the arms of his Heavenly Father.  We pray that precious memories of your amazing son will bring you comfort and that the love of God and the support of family and friends will surround you and uphold you. I enjoyed getting to know Braxton when he came into the library at Greystone Elementary.  He loved checking out animal books, gems & crystals books, and joke books!  I will miss our Bama football discussions, his hilarious jokes,  his sweet laugh, and our House events as he cheered for our Hawks.  My thoughts are with you all....

I remember having an awesome silly string fight with Braxton. When it was over the whole yard looked like a rainbow had exploded 

It was 2019, when Braxton White got to know Braxton Weidman. They were in the same second grade class. As the year went on Braxton White and Braxton Weidman grew to be close friends. They even started calling each other “twins”. Both boys were Braxton W, played baseball, had parents in the medical field, have a brother, and have a sister. Once 2020 came and COVID hit during second grade, quarantine FaceTime buddies they became. The twins would FaceTime multiple times a week. They stayed in touch all throughout the summer. For third grade, the “twins” were not in the same class, but they still played together when they could and FaceTimed as well. It was heartbreaking news when Braxy got his diagnosis. Braxton White was worried and scared for his friend. They FaceTimed while he was in the hospital which definitely helped ease some of my Braxton’s nerves. Braxton watched Braxy show unbelievable courage and strength through all of his surgeries and doctors visits. Braxy invited Braxton to come to an Alabama game which was a first for my Braxton since we are Georgia fans but we found one of my Braxton’s late Papa’s Alabama shirts and he went excitedly over to Braxy’s house. This was definitely a once in a lifetime experience that I know my Braxton will never forget. Braxton Weidman taught us all what being tough really means! He was a kind and compassionate friend and I know my Braxton is a better person for having been his friend. Big hugs and prayers for Chris, Brandie, Cason, Lyla, Tucker, Eddie, and the whole family. We love you all and we are always here. Braxton will live on in our hearts forever. We will always #BeLikeBrax

I have never met Braxton  in person. But  I learned about his cancer battle on facebook.He touched my heart  . His family became my family. When something good happened I celebrated.  When  something did not go right I cried. His smile brightened  my day.  Heaven is lucky to have this special angel.

One of the most precious memories of Braxton from this school year was when he would take rest breaks in his chair and I would be teaching small groups in the same room. Every day, without fail, he would ask me how my day was going. Then, he would tell me a joke or a story about his day. Here's my favorite joke: Why did the coach go to the bank? To get his quarterback. 🥰

Braxton, you had such a BIG personality and an amazing heart! You were loved by many! 

Braxton always told the best jokes! After lunch we had recess and he would sit on the the blue bench with the sun shining on his sweet face and tell us jokes. I learned of your sweet boy's journey through a post on FB by Rick Karle.  I immediately began following his journey from central FL and began praying for him.    Watching his courage and positive spirit throughout his illness speaks strongly of his character.  What great memories you all must have from these short, almost 10 years with Braxton.  Never stop talking about him and telling others of his journey.  He will stay alive in all of us as we seek to be better people. Peace, love hugs, and prays as you move forward knowing Brax is safe in the arms of Jesus our Savior. 

Braxton was always so happy to be at school!  I was so proud of him for how he pushed through to stay all day most days. What a champ!  

You, Sweet Braxton, will live forever in all of us that you made smile!  On my toughest days all I had to do was to look at your sweet face and just melt!  Thank you for coming into all of our lives!  Chris snd Brandie we will continue lifting you and your children in prayer.

I will always remember the summer I was blessed to be Braxton’s VBS leader and how much he loved assembly time. Always laser focused and loved the dancing and singing. He new every word by the end of the week.

I did not know Braxton or the family, however, every time I got on facebook I would look for updates on Braxton. I prayed for he and his family. He will always be remembered as a strong little boy, by me at least. Braxton run and play in Heaven...

I had the wonderful honor of knowing Braxton from Greystone Elementary. I worked in the cafeteria and I got to see him and that beautiful smile twice a day, breakfast and lunch. I never saw him without a smile and I never heard him say a harsh word to anyone or about anyone. He had the best manners and was always respectful! He was an amazing young man!! 💚

I didn’t know Braxton or his family personally. I learned of his battle through a mutual friend who actually knew him and his family very well. I am so glad I joined the group that kept us updated about Braxton’s daily fight. It was always so endearing to see his precious yet courageous face. I loved seeing him smile and having the type resilience he needed to continuously fight! He was truly a warrior. He couldn’t help but to be because his parents exhausted every measure they could to give him more time. I send my heartfelt condolences 💐 to his entire family! Rest In Peace sweet Braxy! I was the Philanthropy Chair of my fraternity and we raised money for Braxton’s battle. Many people thought we changed his life. But in truth, it was his resilience, desire, and high energy that changed ours. 

I've known Braxton for 9+ years through his uncle Kyle.  Braxton has always sounded like the kid I would love to be around.  So loving, kind and always wanting to help.

I didn’t know Braxton as well as my daughter, Audrey, did. She babysat for Chris & Brandie and after I met him, saw that her description of him could not have been more accurate. Compassionate, emotionally in tune with others, empathetic, optimistic, courteous, and always respectful.  A real JOY to be around - especially for a young boy that age. Rest now, fearless warrior.  You fought hard and relentlessly. Your battle on earth may be over, but your legacy will forever be in our hearts. 

My family has known and loved the Weidman family for many, many years. I'll never forget the first time we met Braxton. He had the biggest smile on his face and was so full of joy. I told my husband later that he was one of the cutest kids I'd ever met. His precious life and valiant battle will always shine a light in this world and give us joy as we remember him and keep him in our hearts. We pray love and comfort for Chris and Brandi and their children and their extended families. May you feel the peace of God putting his loving arms around you.

Without a doubt, life is so hard.  The only part that I can help is praying for this precious boy’s family because while ultimately the reason this happened no one can say,  but I believe also without a doubt, Braxton is happy and loving heaven with Jesus until you all see him again!!! When Lyla was an infant, Chris brought her, Cason and Braxton to visit my mother, their Aunt Nita. I remember sitting back, watching little Braxton rolling around with Cason on the rug like two little adorable puppies. I've thought about that picture a lot over the years.  Both little boys were full of life and joy. With their blue eyes sparkling, cheeks pink with health, and delighted giggles filling the air, my heart melted with love for these precious children.  I saw the deep love Chris had for his sons and new daughter, shining in his gaze.  The love and care he and Brandie showered him with made Braxton into the wonderful little boy we all adore.

Braxton was one special little boy. I only had the privilege of knowing him for a short time but he stole my heart. He was such a hard worker and always smiling. I loved his jokes and the way he was able to easily converse with everyone. I like to play music in my classroom. He always talked about his dad playing music and told me his dad was teaching him how to play. He talked about special times spent with his Mom also. He was always so polite and respectful. Good job Chris and Brandie. He was blessed to have you!

I was Braxton’s Bible teacher at CASA. From the moment I met him I knew I would always remember him because he shared his name with my dad. What I didn’t know is what an impact he would leave on my heart. His journey has been inspiring, but he inspired me way before his fight with cancer. One of the sweetest boys I have ever taught. Kindness and goodness just oozed out of him. Always smiling. Always full of joy. 

My heart goes out to this family. An I know Braxton is in the arms of Jesus!!

Like so many others, I met Braxton and his family through that ESPN Game Day special and fell in love with him that day. I immediately joined Team Braxy and have followed his story every day since. I have been a prayer warrior and supporter and my heart is broken for this sweet family who did everything humanly possible to save their son and to give him the best possible life since his diagnosis.  I hope Chris and Brandie can take some small comfort in that. Please accept the love and condolences from a grandmother in North Carolina who loved and prayed for your son from afar and will continue to pray for all of you.

I met Chris & Braxton the day they came into the Mercantile looking for some decor for their house. They were hours away from being interviewed by ESPN and needed some decorations to set in the background.  In that visit, I was blown away that Braxton was so personable for a young kid. Wasn’t shy at all. So very sweet and polite. I learned of his story then and was instantly drawn to his “light”. I immediately started praying & rooting for him and his family. He showed such strength & bravery in his journey. 
I am just so sorry he wasn’t healed on this side of heaven.  The world is definitely a bit dimmer now. Please know we will keep praying for your family. I know your days will be tough, but know he made such an impact on so many. God bless you all. 💚💛

Braxton, while I only met you when you were a little boy, your mom and I have been close friends for half our lives, and I had the pleasure of hearing stories and watching you grow from afar. From one Big Bama fan to another — Braxton touched my heart so much with his smile and love for the Crimson Tide. Since I watched the segment before the Bama game on GameDay I’ve followed and prayed for Braxton. My he and the Bear help us out watching from that band of witnesses cheering us on.

When I think of Braxton I think of a kind heart and a jokester. He always had a joke  or riddle, ready to go! Braxton made more of a positive impact on this world in his short time here than most people ever will!

My favorite and only memory of him put a huge smile on my face. Me and Braxton have one thing in common and thats jake or what people know him as dallmyd . I never seen a kid smile like that ever and you can tell Braxton loved it. Jake is an amazing guy and im so happy that Braxton got to spend time with him and im happy that he gets to go to heaven with a crystal that jake gave him. Braxton is loved by millions and will be missed by millions. Have fun scuba diving and finding treasure in heaven little guy. We are all thinking of you and you will always be in my heart and millions more.

Braxton was a loving young man who loved Alabama and Nick Saban and Najee Harris.Also he enjoyed having fun and playing base ball and most especially he loved ducks, and all of his jokes were funny. And he loved just joking around with his friends. And when we were in 3rd grade we gave him this basket full of toys and gift cards and I remember there was a duck stuffed animal and his face lit up  when he saw it. We will miss him and be sending prayers.
