Barbara Ruth (Wahl) Terlep

Barb was the 3rd child of Glen and Elsa Wahl. She, along with her older sister, Marilyn, and older brother, Roger, grew up in Winona, MN. She was a happy, funny child – the apple of her father’s eye. She graduated from Winona High School in 1961. She went on to be a flight attendant for United Airlines, until she met and married, the love of her life, Bob Terlep in 1966. They enjoyed 50 years together, until Bob passed away in 2016.

She loved The Lord, Bob and her church. She has been attending Christ the King Lutheran Church for many years. She has served as a leader in a variety of roles at the church, and enjoyed attending Bible studies, as well as singing in the choir.

Also, very close to Barb’s heart were quilting, cross-stitching, reading and The Crimson Tide. Many of her family and friends were abundantly blessed as she graciously shared her many, many talents with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and beloved husband.

She is survived by her sister Marilyn (Jerry) Diddy and their 2 children Julia and Stephen, as well as her brother, Roger (Mary) Wahl, and their 2 children Colleen (husband Gregg and children, Daniel, Adam and Maiya) and Michael (wife Gretchen and children Nicole, Andrew and Brooklynn.

Please join us in celebrating Barb’s life, Saturday February 10, 2024, at 12:00 pm with visitation beginning at 11:00 am at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 611 Riverchase Pkwy W. Hoover, AL.

Barb’s preferred memorials should be directed to Christ the King Lutheran Church.
