Barbara Wright Evans, 68, of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away on January 10, 2020, in Franklin. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on August 14, 1951, and was the oldest child of B.R. Wright and Jean Walston Wright.
Barbara lived in the Birmingham area until she moved to Franklin about three years ago. She graduated from Berry High School and attended the University of Tennessee and Birmingham-Southern College, where she majored in psychology. She worked in the areas of accounting, employee services, and food service. She was artistically talented and loved dogs and cats.
Barbara is survived by her father, Bob Wright of Hoover, Alabama, her brother, sister, and nephew, Bill Wright Beverly Christopher, and Brian Wright, all of Franklin, Tennessee, her aunt, June Wright Kitchen, of Birmingham, her aunt Katherine Walston Smith, of Nashville, Tennessee, two great nieces, a great nephew, and a number of cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, Alabama.
