Barbara Conolley

Anniston/Oxford - Funeral services for Barbara Minter Conolley, 89, formerly of Anniston will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel at Gray Brown Service Mortuary; 1329 Wilmer Avenue; Anniston, AL 36201. The Reverend Danny Waddell will be officiating. Burial will follow at Oxford Memorial Gardens. The family will have visitation on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:30 at the funeral home. Mrs. Conolley passed away March 2, 2015, at Golden Living Riverchase in Hoover after a long illness. She is survived by a son, Keith Conolley (Connie); three daughters, Linda Barrett (Raymond), Debbie Johnston (Larry), Cindy Ragland (Jim); twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Conolley was born on July 29, 1925, in Birmingham, Alabama. Barbara graduated from Jacksonville State Teachers College then later married Clarence Conolley of Oxford, Alabama in 1947. She worked at Ft. McClellan for about twenty years and then Merrill Lynch for ten. She was an Anniston resident for over 50 years, and a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church for most of those years until she became ill in 2003. Barbara will be remembered for her abundant generosity, hospitality, adventurous spirit, thoughtfulness, and the love she richly gave to all who knew her.
