Andrew Samuel Simonetti, age 68, a native and long-time resident of the Birmingham, Alabama area, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 20, 2019. After earning his college undergraduate degree, he enjoyed a long career in automotive sales.
Andrew was predeceased by his mother, Madeline Finocchio Simonetti; his father, Samuel Frank Simonetti; and one brother, Nick Paul Simonetti.
Survivors include Andrew's wife of 44 years, Donna Duke Simonetti; two daughters, Jennifer Hollis and her husband David of Adamsville, Alabama, and Stefanie Martin and her husband Jared of Blountsville, Alabama; one son, Christopher Simonetti of Birmingham; four grandchildren, Drew Hollis (7), Blythe Martin (6), Ryker Martin (3), and Hartley Martin (1); and one sister, Mary Margaret Weatherly.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, Birmingham, immediately followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon at the church. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, Alabama. Father Joe Culotta will officiate.
