I don’t know why, but I’ve been thinking about Alex a lot today.  I only knew him for a short period before his death, but he made a big impact on me. He is greatly missed.

I had the opportunity of working with Alex for over twenty years and conducted several hundred million in transactions with him on behalf of our various investment companies at Excel. He was truly a pleasure to work with, a tough negotiator indeed, but always fair and equitable as a Seller or partner in our joint ventures.  We could always trust his word and he always followed through with his commitments.  His development talents and skills were exceptional and as so many have said, an individual bigger than life!  Over the years, we became more than business associates, we became true friends.  The memory of his life, his unique abilities and bigger than life qualities will remain a legacy for each of us to strive for.  He will truly be missed, but dearly remembered.  May all his family be comforted and blessed at this time and take comfort in knowing he still lives in his Heavenly home where we shall reunite with him again.
