William Ray Cox

Born November 25, 1953 in Peoria to Omer E. and Laura J. (Heuer) Cox, he married Brenda L. Reed on July 12, 1980 in North Pekin.

Surviving are one brother, Ronald L. (Sharon) Cox of Glasford and one sister, Gayle L. (Fred) Rademacker of Green Valley.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He had worked for Caterpillar INC. in Production Machinist and Assembly retiring in October of 2013 after 39 years of service.

William was a former member of the North Pekin Church of the Nazarene and the Gold Prospecting Association of America.

He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, traveling, prospecting for precious metals, gemstones, and photography.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, December 18, 2020 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
