Born August 16, 1939 in Pekin to George Washington and Elsie Mabel (Bolieo) Beeney, he married Elva Kay Stevens on December 10, 1970 in Pekin.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years; two sons, William Joseph “Joe” (Angie) Beeney of Washington and William “Bill” Ward (Kim) Beeney of Salado, Texas; one daughter, Crystal Kay Mason of Pekin; ten grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Melissa Kay Beeney on February 12, 2012; two sisters, Evelyn Geier and Vera Beeney and five brothers, Walt, Dewey, Donald, Clifford and Ted Beeney.
Bill was a member and worked out of Carpenter’s Local #183 in Peoria for 40 years. He had mostly worked for Allied Construction as a carpenter before retiring in 1992.
A loving and caring husband, dad and grandpa, Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and woodworking.
He attended Grace Baptist Church in Pekin.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Joshua Beutow will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
