He was born January 24, 1966 in Pekin to Larry and Vernice Clayton Mayberry.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Vernice and Bob Funk of Pekin; father and step-mother, Larry and Donna Mayberry of Pekin; his grandmothers, Bessie Mayberry of Pekin and Ermer McNeil of Tennessee; and 2 sisters, Sheri (Jim) Robison of Hopedale and Valerie Johnson of Pekin.
Ward was a self-employed wedding dress designer , last working in 2005. Previously, he had been employed for 10 years as a designer for the Ultimate Bride on Oak Street in Chicago.
At Pekin High School, he had been a member of the "Notables" show choir.
Ward received a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre from Illinois State University.
He loved to ski, bike, travel, and was an accomplished acrobat.
His private memorial service will beSaturday, March 24, 2007 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. There will be no visitation. Cremation has beenaccorded.The family will receive friends at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007 at the Pekin Moose Lodge.
