Born February 27, 1949 in Peoria to Walter James and Irma (Roese) Fulton, he married Frances “Fran” Schultz on September 30, 1989 in Peoria.
Surviving are his wife, Fran Fulton of North Pekin; one daughter, Sara (Aaron) Majors of Northpole, Alaska; one son, Walter James “Jay” (Kelsey) Fulton, III, of Washington; four grandchildren, Nina (Connor) Neuhoff and Bri Majors, both of Northpole, Alaska, Dylan Fulton and Carson Fulton, both of Washington; one great-granddaughter, Paisley Neuhoff; one sister, Becky Staggs of Peoria; and two brothers, Theodore “Ted” Fulton and Dale (Sandra) Fulton, both of Peoria.
His parents preceded him death.
Jim was a 1969 graduate of Manual High School in Peoria.
He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Jim worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation for 32 years, retiring in 2004. Previously, he had worked for Orkin Pest Control Company.
He enjoyed doing small engine repair and fishing, especially the Arkansas fishing trips.
There will be no services at this time. Cremation will be accorded.
