Travis Dale Bonk

Born November 11, 1981 in Peoria to Rex and Renee (Myers) Bonk, he married Jamie Roberts-McCain. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Taylor Bonk of East Peoria; one son, Bryson Bonk of Chicago; one step-daughter, Caitlin (Lamell) Carwell of Peoria; one step-son, Scott Roberts, Jr. of Marquette Heights; his father, Rex Bonk of Gainesville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Zayden Roberts, Taniya Seiber, Ca’Mella Lamell and Lamell Carwell, Jr. and one brother, Wade Bonk.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Renee and maternal grandparents, Russel and Winney Myers.

Travis had worked as an engineer at Mitsubishi in Bloomington and Komatsu Dresser, Inc. in Peoria until 2020.

An avid Chicago Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks fan, Travis enjoyed fishing, hunting with his dad and playing video games. He cherished spending time with his daughter, Taylor.

His memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Dwight Winnett will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:30 at the funeral home.
