Tina Marie Grimes

Born February 22, 1958 in Peoria, she was the daughter Donna O’Halloran and adopted daughter of Wilbur Light. She married Marlin Grimes on March 6, 1981 in Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are her two children, Chad (Kate) Grimes of East Peoria and Jessica (Tom Depew) Grimes of Pekin; six grandchildren, Olivia Grimes, Ava Grimes, Collin Grimes, Kelise Grimes, Kylie Grimes, and Aubree Grimes; and one sister, Misty Light of Pekin. She also leaves behind two special friends, Mindy Lopez and Kelly Schaffer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Nicholas James Grimes; one brother, Keith Light; and grandparents, Helen and Irvin O’Halloran.

Tina had worked at Butch’s Pizza as a manager for 7 years and later at Kroger’s in Bartonville for 7 years, retiring in 2019.

She was of the Catholic faith.

Tina enjoyed gardening. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren.

Her memorial service will be at noon, Friday, December 9, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.
