Timothy L. Fosdick

PEKIN ~ Timothy Leon Fosdick, 61, of Manito, passed away at 12:10 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at his residence. Tim loved the Lord with all of his heart and had many struggles along the way, but ultimately walked into the arms of Jesus.

Born July 16, 1960 in Fairbury to Sylvester Junior and Beverly Norene (Fritts) Fosdick, he married Brenda Sue (Sarnes) Stephens on March 18, 2001 in Morton. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Bloomington; one son, Kaleb Fosdick of Pekin; three daughters, Chloe Fosdick, Marilee Fosdick, both of Pekin and Ashley Edwards of East Peoria; four grandchildren; one sister, Sharon (Randy) Kinzinger of Buckley; two brothers, Larry (Julie) Fosdick of Pontiac and Harry (Lisa) Fosdick of Chenoa and many nieces and nephews, including Logan Fosdick of Normal, who was raised with him as a brother. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Donna Sarnes of Pekin and a brother-in-law, Mark Sarnes of Pekin.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Dale Fosdick.

A 1978 graduate of Forrest-Strawn-Wing High School, Tim then attended the Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie, Wyoming and graduated as a diesel technician from there in September 1979. He enjoyed a long career as a diesel mechanic, last working for German Bliss Equipment in East Peoria. He previously had worked for Peoria Rescue Ministries at Victory Acres in helping them run their men’s work program.

He had a love for airplanes and cars and was a licensed sport pilot. He was proud to have built his own Sky Ranger Sport Pilot with a 1300 Suzuki auto engine within it. His kids will remember him as a great cook and he loved gardening with his children.

Tim was a member of Pekin First Church of the Nazarene. Tim would want all to know that regardless of what you have done in life or where you may find yourself in life, God would want you to know that you are loved by a merciful Savior who will forgive you.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor W. Lloyd Brock, Pastor Vernon Risner and Pastor John King will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in

Pekin.
