Born June 8, 1946 in Joliet to John T. and Margaret (Scoff) Senffner, he married Patricia Susan “Pat” Kane on August 12, 1971 in Edwardsville. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Matthew (Amy) Luzbetak of Lansing, Michigan and Benjamin Senffner of Marquette Heights; one daughter, Angela Senffner of Pekin; three grandsons, Jacob (Lauren) Luzbetak of Dewitt, Michigan, Maxwell Luzbetak and Joseph Luzbetak, both of Lansing, Michigan and two sisters, Joan Jevitz of Joliet and Cheryl (Ron) Noble of Plainfield.
His parents preceded him in death.
Tom had served in the United States Marine Corps.
He last worked for Illinois Central College as an Electrical Technician for 4 years, retiring in 2015. He previously had worked at Klaus Radio for 22 years.
Tom enjoyed spending time with family, fishing and traveling. He also enjoyed going to and watching sporting events on television. Tom was an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox, Blackhawks, Bears, and Bulls.
His graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin. The family requests those in attendance to wear casual dress. A private visitation will be held.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
