Theresa Marie Sies

She was born May 13, 1961 in Pekin to Clarence and Mildred (Copenhaver) Sies. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Betty Scott and two nephews, Rev. Chris Sies and Lewis Scott.

Surviving are one brother, Rev. Harry (Nancy) Sies of Marquette Heights; one niece, Sarah (Charles) Thrasher of Bellevue; two nephews, Harry L. (Sarah) Sies, Jr. and Kevin Janson, both of Pekin; several nephews and nieces, including Sami “Sue” and Wednesday; her significant other of 14 years, Kristophier Harms of West Peoria and her special friend, Sharon Fauber.

Theresa had worked at PARC and Community Workshop and Training Center, Inc. in Peoria for many years.

She loved collecting Winnie the Pooh, doing arts and crafts and playing bingo.

Theresa was a longtime member of Pekin First Church of the Nazarene.

Her graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2023 at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin. Pastor Brian Eatock will officiate.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
