Thelma M. Roberts

Born March 15, 1925 in Tecumseh, Indiana to George and Flonnie (Auterson) Keyes; she married Sam Roberts on May 8, 1943 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1994.

Surviving are her children, Stanley (Joan) Roberts, Beverly (Bob) Roberts Fisher, and Kevin (Stacy) Roberts; ten grandchildren, Sheila Lopez, Sheryl Huber, Scott Roberts, Jon Monn Roberts, Miranda and Natalie Monn, and Kyle, Brandon, Hannah, and Sarah Roberts, ten great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; her brother, Floyd Keyes and her sister Patsy Buley.

Also preceding in death were her daughter, Sharon Roberts; sisters, Maxine Rodgers, Margaret Brickey and Lynda Counterman; and brothers, Alfred and George Keyes.

Thelma enjoyed fishing trips in Minnesota, reading, needlework, and good conversation.

She had a great sense of humor, was an encouragement to many and had a strong faith in God.

For many years, Thelma taught Sunday School and was the Bible School Superintendent at the Midway Mennonite Church. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Church in Morton where visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday, February 14th and 9:30-10:15 am Wednesday, February 15th. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Wednesday, with Pastor Jonathan Farrell and Pastor Doug Habegger officiating. Burial will follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens, Pekin. Memorials are suggested to Grace Church or Hopedale Medical Complex.
