Suzanne Barnewolt

Born February 26, 1948 in Peoria to Louis and Lois (Branson) Maurer, she married Michael Barnewolt on August 4, 1969 in Mayfield, Kentucky. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Barnewolt of Pekin and Katrina (Christopher) Heyder of East Peoria; one son, Christopher Barnewolt of Pekin; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five siblings, Michael Maurer of Ohio, David (Julie) Maurer of Wisconsin, Scott (Sheri) Maurer of Rock Island, Sandy (Henry) Meskimen of Peoria and Jeff (Darnise) Harn of Peoria

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Michael Barnewolt.

A homemaker, Suzanne enjoyed reading and playing bingo. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

Her memorial visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
