EAST PEORIA ~ Susie K. Ertel, 71, of East Peoria, passed away at 2:19 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at her residence.
Born July 30, 1952 in Mendon, she was the daughter of Elbridge Francis and Eunice Isabelle (Zuspann) Ertel. Her parents preceded her in death.
Susie worked at TCRC in Morton and loved socializing with friends. She loved her birthday and Santa, whom she always called Ho Ho. Susie also enjoyed eating hot dogs, cookies and soda.
She attended the New Abilities group with Riverside Community Church in Peoria.
Her graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin. Lari LaBello will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
