Born October 8, 1950 in Pekin to Kenneth Earl and June Orveta (Kracht) Clark, he married Debbie Lohman. They later divorced.
Surviving are his significant other, Mary Lou DeFoe of Paris, Tennessee; one son, Adam (Andrea) Clark of Morton; three siblings Carolyn (Dennis) Kroll of Eureka, Marilyn Collins of Peoria and Bill (Brenda) Clark of Pekin and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sara Clark; one sister, Barb Franz; one brother-in-law, Lynn Franz and one nephew, Nathan Clark.
Stephen was a veteran of the United States Navy where he worked as an electrician on the USS Chicago.
He worked in parts at Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years in Mossville and then later in Morton until his retirement in 1999.
He was a member of the Big Sandy American Legion Post 228 and the Wisconsin Canoe Club. Stephen had earned the highest rank in scouting, an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
The family would to like to thank his brother and family friend, Gene Saal for taking care of Stephen and always being there for him.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. A Celebration of Stephen’s life will be held at a later date.
