Sidney Merle Graffis

Born November 19, 1943 in Pekin, he was the son of Merle Olen and Dorothy Louise (Gregory) Graffis. His parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his aunt, Jane Fishter of California. He also is survived by numerous cousins, including Steve (Margi) Graffis of Washington, who helped care for him.

Sid served in the United States Army. He retired from Caterpillar, Inc. after 30 years of service.

Billiards and cars were his life. Sid was a member of the Corvette Club. He also enjoyed playing golf. Sid was a very caring person who was dedicated to caring for both of his parents during the last years of their lives.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2022 at Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin. Pastor Eric N. Swanson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral at church. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
