Sheila Collette Dickson

She was born January 10, 1958 in Pekin to Elmora Curtis and Bertha Aline (Butler) Dickson, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are two sisters, Jeanette E. (Larry) Benedict and Peggy J. (Larry) McGhee, both of Peoria and one brother, Michael D. (Dorothy) Dickson of Guin, Alabama.

Sheila had worked at EP!C in Peoria for 40-plus years as a computer operator. She was a former PARC board member in Peoria and was former president of the Advocate Group, People First in Peoria.

She loved watching movies and listening to country and rock n roll music, especially Elvis. She also enjoyed being pampered, including having manicures and pedicures and shopping with her sisters.

Sheila was a 40-plus year member of North Pekin Nazarene Church. She loved attending Bible Study at the group home.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Lyall Sutton will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
