Born August 26, 1956 in Ranger, Texas to Keith E. and Margaret (Kelly) McDonald, she married James Michael Hebner on October 1, 1999 in Abilene, Texas.
Surviving are her husband of 25 years; three children, Katheryn (Sean) McAhon of Beatrice, Nebraska, Nicholas James Hebner of San Leandro, California and Alleigh (Dena) Boyd of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Riana and Maeve McAhon and Emerson Boyd and an additional grandson due in February; three sisters, Kelly (David) Benbrook of Arlington, Texas, Lili Knight of Forney, Texas and Amy (James) McDonald of Stephenville, Texas and several nieces and nephews, including Seth (Maddie) Rodriquez of Virginia and Wyatt Rodriquez of Stephenville, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sally had worked for the State of Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a counsel substitute for 20-plus years before retiring in 2015 with her husband.
An original member of the “Coral Reefers”, now known as “Parrot Heads”, Sally was a true Jimmy Buffet fan. She took the love of quilting from her mother and would quilt hats and gloves for cancer patients and the homeless.
Sally had a caring heart and loved traveling across the state of Texas and would stop constantly to identify the native flowers of Texas. She also enjoyed gardening.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
