Ruthanne Scott

Ruthanne was born to Walter & Anne Kaatz on May 29, 1946.

Surviving is one sister, Laurie Shaw, five children, Jeff of Lacon, Janet (Jim) Mooney of Lacon, Mark (Jodi) of Peoria, Melanie (Doug) Tiona of Pekin and Josh (Alison) of Spring, Texas; nine grandchildren, Kelsie, Kyle, Kara, Will, Jenna, Ally, Christian, Noah & Savanah and five great grandchildren, Hunter, Charlie, Rowan, Walker & Jackson

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob", her parents and one sister, Jeannie Andersen.

Ruthanne was a devoted wife caring for Bob for 13 years after his stroke.

She was all about her friends and family, a diehard St. Louis Cardinals Fan, loved to travel and enjoyed dining out. Her moto these days was the best meals are the ones I don't have to prepare.

We would like to thank Pekin Manor for the exceptional care the past five months & the dedicated staff at Transitions Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to United Stroke Alliance, 8000 North University Street, Peoria, Illinois 61615 where proceeds will go to fund Retreat & Refresh Stroke Camp, a Camping Experience for Stroke Survivors, Caregivers and Family Members.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.

There will be a private family service at a later date.
