Roberta J Murphy

Born September 3, 1957 in Melrose Park to Richard and Catheryne (DeLong) Kuczwara Sr. she married Dennis Murphy on March 5, 2012. He survives.

Also surviving are four children, Spring Hyde of Lincoln, Erica (George) Kuczwara of Arlington Heights, Timothy Kuczwara and Ben Kuczwara both of Lincoln; one step-daughter Jennifer Murphy of Texas; four grandchildren, Anthony Kuczwara, Alexus (Corey) Williams, Aschli (Conner) Minervini, Emmalyn Hyde; three siblings, Catheryne (Michael) Berg of Albion Michigan, Christiane Kuczwara of Lincoln and Becky Salagea (Claude) of Fox River Grove; two nieces, Kimberly (Bill) McCoy and Chrisitina Salagea; three nephews, Ricky (Brittany) Kuczwara III, Nathan (Alexis) Berg and Alex Salagea; one great nephew, Elijah and her beloved pets Joe, Trudie and Jem.

She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings, Richard Kuczwara, Jr. Joseph Kuczwara, Barbara Kuczwara, Lorraine Kuczwara and Pollyann Contreras-Kuczwara.

Bertie was a manager throughout her career.

She was known to be very funny and “opinionated” by her family, and found so much joy in watching her family grow. She loved all of her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews deeply.

No services or visitation are scheduled at this time. Cremation will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
