Robert Snyder

Born on May 21, 1942 in Chicago to Morse and Vera (Kellogg) Boyd, he married Carolyn Marquardt in 1961 at the Normandale Reformed Church in Pekin. She died November 28, 2018. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donald Snyder and one sister, Jeanie Porter.

Surviving are three children, Donald (LaDonna) Snyder, Sandra (Curtis Smith) Snyder and Ronald Snyder, all of Pekin; three grandchildren, Robert Michaels of Pekin, Andrew (Mary) Michaels of Colorado and Amber Wheeling of Pekin; five great-grandchildren and one brother, Richard Boyd of Chicago.

Bob was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He worked as a truck driver for Cox Trucking in Eureka, retiring in 2000.

Bob enjoyed his job, going to church and photography. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 627 in Peoria and Pekin FFA.

He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Pekin.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Liberty Baptist Church in Pekin. Pastor Gary England will officiate. Inurnment will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2024 at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.

Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
