Bob was born to Sheldon & Mary Scott on March 9 1937.
Surviving are his wife, Ruthanne Scott; five children, Jeff of Lacon, Janet (Jim) Mooney of Lacon, Mark (Jodi) of Peoria, Melanie (Doug) Tiona of Pekin and Josh (Alison) of Spring, Texas; nine grandchildren, Kelsie, Kyle, Kara, Will, Jenna, Ally, Christian, Noah & Savanah and two great grandchildren, Hunter & Charlie.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, one sister, Sharon Pounds and brother, Richard “Dick” Scott.
Bob was a devoted husband, father & grandfather that was loved by his children and grandchildren as much as he LOVED THEM. His Grandkids were his PRIDE AND JOY!!!!
Bob never met a stranger and was known for his positive and upbeat attitude 24/7. He was also known for his famous Thumbs Up.
He was a diehard St. Louis Cardinals Fan and LOVED to fish.
He worked for Central Telephone Company in Lacon and Pekin for 26 years. He served on the Lacon Sparland Volunteer Fire Department, where he held many positions including Chief. He was very instrumental in raising funds and helping organize the creation of the Ambulance Service. He left the telephone company to pursue a successful career in the Insurance industry for years where he won many awards and trips.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston Hanley Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin.
