He was born May 5, 1922 in Denver, Colorado to Robert Franklin and Ethel H. (Foss) Clark, Jr., he married Ellen LaRue Hazell on November 11, 1944 in Chicago. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Barbara Mosher of Peoria; two sons, Robert (Kathy) Clark of Orchard Lake, Michigan and Russell (Susan) Clark of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; six grandchildren, Debra (Chris) Hofmann of Peoria, Kristin (Matthew) Brown of Salt Lake City, Utah, Brian Clark and Matthew Clark, both of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Robert Clark and Julie Clark, both of Orchard Lake, Michigan; and three great-grandchildren, Alyssa Hofmann, Grace Hofmann, and Kara Hofmann.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Shirley Kruse.
A United States Coast Guard veteran of World War II, he served from September 29, 1942 to November 12, 1945.
Bob worked for Encyclopaedia Britannica in Chicago for 29 yrs, last as director of technical operations. He later worked for Films, Inc. in Wilmette for 11 yrs, last as vice-president.
There will be no services and cremation will be accorded.
