Born August 3, 1953 in Pekin to Thomas Eugene and Carol June (Bell) Miller, Sr., he married Alice M. Wolfe on February 13, 1998 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother of Green Valley; two daughters, Rikki J. (Steve) Hannig of Pekin and Brandi G. (Gar) Saylor of Delavan; four stepdaughters, Sue McCullough, Angela McCullough, Kimberly (Troy) Griswold and Melissa McCullough, all of Pekin; nineteen grandchildren and two sisters, Melinda (Paul) Seward of Manito and Gail (David) Woulfe of Green Valley.
He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Thomas E. Miller, Jr.; one nephew, Thomas E. Miller, III; one granddaughter, Alexa Hannig and one great-grandson, Hayden Martella.
Rickie worked for the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office, where he was a correctional officer for 17 years and retired as a Sergeant.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also was fond of his dogs and loved spending time with his grandkids. Rickie used to enjoy riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor W. Lloyd Brock will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Dillon Cemetery.
