Richard R. Eddy

He was born March 19, 1972 in Long Beach, California to Richard Eddy and Karen Marlatt.

Surviving are his three children, Amber (Dakoda Taylor) Eddy of Pekin, Jay (Britany) Eddy of South Pekin and Alexis (Austin Bradshaw) Eddy of Peoria and five grandchildren, Drayson Nash, Aurora Taylor, Amelia Eddy, Bentley Eddy and Adrian Bradshaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Rita Schuck-Eddy; two nephews, Chevy Dayne Hare and Shayne Michael “S.J.” Fletcher Jr.; two aunts, Julie and Susan Marlatt; three uncles, Jay, Nicholas and George Marlatt.

Richard worked for many years as a carpenter/laborer for Ray Becker in Peoria. In recent years he worked with Deania and Charles Davidson in their landscaping business Double D’s Landscaping in Pekin.

He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and listening to music. He enjoyed rooting for his favorite football team, The Chicago Bears!

Richard's memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services.

Memorial Contributions may be given to the family to offset funeral expenses.
