Born January 17, 1955 in Pekin to Theodore Gene and Rose Marie (Smith) Goodin, he married Debra Susan Cook on November 24, 1989 in Groveland. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Rose M. Caulkins of Manito; three daughters, Nichole J. Beasley and Kelly D. (Chris) Stewart, both of Bartonville, and Jamie L. (Justin) Ellis of Eureka; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Cheryl S. (Terry) Smith of Fredonia, Kentucky and Kathy L. Clauson of Pekin; two brothers, Roger L. Goodin of Peoria and David A. (Kara) Goodin of Elk River, Minnesota; one step-brother, Terry Caulkins of Manito; and step-mother, Patricia Ward of Pekin.
He was preceded in death by his father on March 31, 1993 in Pekin and his step-father (David Caulkins).
A 1973 graduate of Forman High School in Manito, he had served in the United States Army.
He owned and operated Randy Goodin Plastering in Manito for over 30 years. Previously, he worked for the Chicago-Northwestern Railroad in South Pekin.
He was a former member of Community United Methodist Church in Manito.
Randy enjoyed fishing and hunting.
His visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. There will be no services. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to Forman Ambulance Service in Manito or the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association in Forest City.
