Randy T. Davis Sr.

Randy T. Davis Sr. 65, of rural Canton, Illinois, died Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 6:50 AM at his residence. He was born December 16, 1945 in Peoria, Illinois. He was the son of Lavell and Mary (Schwarz) Davis. He married Sandra Richiger on July 27, 1973. She survives along with one daughter, Rhonda (David) Pugh of Peoria, two sons, Randy (Christine)Davis Jr. and Greg Davis both of Canton, Illinois. There are four grandchildren, Brandon Pugh, and Emily Pugh both of Peoria, and Randy Thomas Davis III and Lucas Davis of Canton, Illinois. He has five brothers, Edward Davis of Creve Couer, David (Carol) Davis of Kewanee, Joseph (Gloria) Davis of Peoria, Ronald Davis of Monmouth,Iowa, Stephen (Linda) Davis of Little America. He has four sisters, Regina (William) Stanley of Roseburg, Oregon, Evelyn (Leland) Leegette of Johns Island, South Carolina, Kathryn (Clayton) Murrell of Buffalo, Missouri, and Mary (Wes) Wainwright of Monroe City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dwayne and Robert.

He was a self employed carpet installer. He was a member of the Banner Volunteer Fire Department for 8 years, and was a former assistant Scout Leader in Lewistown.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Davison Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin, Illinois. Pastor Dave Utt will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Maple Ridge Cemetery, Mapleton, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Banner Volunteer Fire Department.
