Born October 30, 1939 in Whittington to Ed and Stella Smothers, she married George Mullen on December 27, 1985 in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Carol Ann Horne of East Peoria; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and one sister, Joyce Darlene Kamp of Sun City, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two children, Karen Jean Saal and Richard Reesor.
Phyllis and her husband owned and operated Mullen’s Irish Pub in Morton and Kerri’s Irish Pub in East Peoria before eventually retiring.
She loved spending time with her family, crocheting, playing bingo and poker with her husband and friends and feeding and watching the wildlife.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services.
