Born on November 10, 1939 in Canton to Frank and Stella (Norton) Simpson, she married William Shipp, Jr. on December 19, 1970 in Tremont. He died on May 25, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Keith Rigg; five brothers; and four sisters.
Surviving are her son, Kim (Jeri) Rigg of Tremont; one grandson, Matthew Rigg, of Michigan; one great-granddaughter, Tatum Rigg of Michigan; one step-son, Scott Shipp of Pekin and two step-granddaughters, TaKara Leigh and Jedta McMorrow, both of Pekin.
Pat was a skilled homemaker and loved tending to her flowers and garden.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. A private burial will occur at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery of Pekin.
