Born on July 11, 1945 in Mt. Vernon to Donald and Francis (Headlee) Smith, she married Charles Franklin “Frank” Russell on August 4, 1962 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Chuck (Laurie) Russell of Lakeland, Florida, Bill (Peggy) Russell of Manito and Jim (Kristin) Russell of New London, Wisconsin; one daughter, Margaret (Chad) Maupin of Tiskilwa; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Don and an infant daughter, Patricia.
Pat’s love and devotion for her family is her greatest legacy, she is loved and missed by so many.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private graveside services will be held in Smith Cemetery near McLeansboro at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
