Born July 30, 1952 in Peoria to Billy and Carol (Monks) Keen, he married the love of his life, Rebecca Dorine Gohde on November 17, 1972 in Kingston Mines. She survives.
Also surviving are his father; two daughters, Mandy (Kevin) Anderson, Lisa (Dan) Bullock; one son, Kevin (Dani) Keen; six granddaughters, Mackenzie and Cydnee Anderson, Kendall and Ashton Keen, Hayden and Quincy Keen; three grandsons, Cole Anderson, Cadyn Keen, Kyler Herring; one brother Brian Keen; and two sisters, Diana (Lester) Koehl, Donna (Leo) Ratcliff.
He was preceded in death by his Mother.
Mike worked for Keystone Steel and Wire Company in Bartonville for 38 years as a Millwright, retiring in 2016.
Mike was a jack-of-all-trades helping his family any way he could. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal's and Notre Dame fan. Mike coached his son in baseball, umpired and refereed throughout the area. He enjoyed the outdoors, watching sports on television, Union Mission Basketball Program, ran the MDA Muscle Dystrophy Ball-a-thon Program, watching his grandchildren at their sporting events and most of all he loved to spend time with his family.
His public visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Guidelines regarding social distancing and masks will be followed. The family requests that all guests in attendance wear their favorite sports team shirt. A private funeral will follow.
